Everything else is ok But the Pharmacy is and has the most terrible unprofessional customer service I've come across. Specifically, being mainly needed section by customers. 1.) You can call so many times and they never answer calls 2.) they only put you on hold for ever 3.) they will pick up and then hang up on you right there without even helping you out 4.) or put you on hold again 5.) also you can call so many times and same things will keep on happening. They need to get new people hired here. New pharmacists and helpers. Its not even a very common, known, or even used store therefore I do not think they are so busy to put customers through all that. Terrible, bad unprofessional pharmacy service.

I have been dealing with the Vanier Jean Coutu Pharmacy, on behalf of a family member, for about three years now. I have to say initially I was not impressed with the customer service but that was just one person. Every interaction with other pharmacy staff and pharmacists has been great. They have always been helpful and kind. I do not live nearby and I deal with them almost entirely by phone. Occasionally I am put on hold but that's not an issue and it's never for very long, I'm not their only customer. If I lived in the neighborhood this would be my pharmacy.

After 12 years as a loyal customer, I will no longer be returning to Jean Coutu due to the consistently rude and unprofessional behavior of the pharmacy staff. Trying to fill a prescription for a sick person should not be this difficult, yet it took two days just to get antibiotics. When I called for assistance, the staff member on the phone was extremely rude to both me and my mother who had been trying to resolve this for TWO days. When I asked for her name to report the issue, she refused and hung up—not once, not twice, but three times. This kind of service is completely unacceptable.

From my experience, there is one person there who consistently provides exceptional support, but as for the rest of the staff, they are consistently rude. One example: I ried to have a prescription renewed for maybe a week's ime - they were sending a fax to the wrong practitioner - I asked where they were sending it, and then asked them to correct it, after they said in an annoying tone "like I told you... Your Dr is not responding". This happened twice. When they started receiving faxes from the right practitioner, only one person finally offered to look in the pile of faxes and found 2 of them from my Dr. I feel anxiety with just the thought of interacting with the pharmacy staff. My daughter ran out of Rx, and they made it seem like they were doing me a favour to give a few days emerg dispense, after I insisted that she needed it (when it was their error in the end). I chose to transfer our client file to that location after moving in the area, thinking that it would make things easier to transfer from another JC, but I am now considering going somewhere else. Maybe it's my one isolated incident, or maybe dealing with the same person over the phone, then in person.

The post office times do not reflect the times posted online.
The pharmacy is one i seem to always have issues with. Even with 5 staff it's a struggle to to speak with someone.
Staff on the floor will straight up ignore you or walk away from you.

Staff not really talkative, decent shelf variety and okay prices. Store atmosphere is a little musty but it's not the worst. Overall average but you can get what you need ♀️

I've always been to various Jean Coutu for my prescriptions and other needs, but this oeb, god damn it's terrible!
They always loose my faxed prescriptions, can't find anything I called to prepared earlier, everytime I call they put me on hold and forget me there until the line close and need to call again. Not normal in my opinion that I need to call at least 4 times during a single day to have a prescription prepared.

They often make mistakes in your prescriptions then blame you for it. My doctor refuses to fax prescriptions there because she said she gets issues with all her patients who use this pharmacy.
A month or two ago, I went to get my prescription after 4 PM once and asked how long it would take. Was told 30 mins. I waited 30 mins and asked what was happening and they had not even started working on it because the pharmacist was working on preparing other prescriptions for pick up. When I asked them when it would be ready they literally told me "we don't know". Incredibly rude to make someone wait and not give an answer. I left because they couldn't give me a definite answer as to how long it would take and they had an attitude.
Also when you call they are rude and will hang up with a "ok". No goodbye, no nothing.
I use this pharmacy because it's close to my place but I would avoid if you have a car.
One of the nicest employees though is the ginger woman. She has been nothing but nice.
